The
Pain Stops Cold!
LOW-LEVEL “COLD” LASER
THERAPY (LLLT)
The
Power Of Light Is Here. We pleased
to announce the addition of Low Level
Laser Therapy (LLLT) for patients
with acute or chronic pain conditions, strain,
sprain, and injury. LLLT has wide treatment
applications, especially for troublesome conditions
that have been unresponsive to other care.
LLLT effects healing
by:
Reducing pain, swelling and inflammation
Lymphatic drainage and toxin removal
Stimulation of tissue and cellular repair,
and collagen production
Faster healing and acceleration of wound repair
Bringing long term relief |

Healing and
repair … not just temporary pain relief
(read more at… www.microlightlaser.com)
LLLT is also known as “cold laser”.
It is painless, invisible and non-heat producing.
It works through photo-stimulation of specific
receptor cells and tissues at the site of
pain, which in turn increase the
body’s cellular responses consistent
with pain reduction, healing, and repair.
In other words, it stimulates the body to
heal itself. This is in contrast
to heat producing surgical and cosmetic lasers
that use thermo-destructive light energy,
such as laser eye surgery, spider vein and
tattoo removal, etc. LLLT has been studied
for over 30 years and has a long history of
safety and effectiveness. It has been the
subject of over 3000 studies proving its safety
and effectiveness. This why the US Olympic
Team now uses this same laser for treating
athletic sports injuries in world-class athletes.
The MicroLightLaserâ
830nm LLLT advantage (read more at…
www.microlightlaser.com)
The LLLT unit we use is the only FDA approved
true-laser that emits the patented 830nm wavelength.
The advantage of the 830nm beam vs. other
LLLT using 660 nm wavelengths is its ability
to treat deeper target tissues, up to 4 inches.
Other devices are limited to treating higher
surface tissues nearer the skin, most are
not being FDA approved, and/or produce only
L.E.D. monochromatic light which are not true
lasers.

Contraindications
There are very few true contra-indications of LLLT.
Its safety is well proven and no harm has ever been
reported. However, we do not use LLLT
directly in the eye, during pregnancy, over the
thyroid gland, on cancerous tumors, on patients
taking immune-suppressive drugs or radiation therapy,
near pacemakers, or on patients with active seizures
disorders.
Will I feel anything
during each treatment?
No. You won’t feel or even see the laser beams,
except the slight pressure of the head of the instrument
against the skin, which resembles the head of a
flashlight. The only indication that you are being
treated is the small red non-laser target light
that directs the lasers.
Scheduling &
Initial Evaluation Visit
When scheduling, please mention that you want to
be evaluated for LLLT laser therapy.
This visit will determine if LLLT
is appropriate for you. If so, a course of LLLT
treatments will be prescribed. Please note: this
visit will not address any other non-related health
complaints. It does not include your first LLLT
treatment. The cost of the LLLT
evaluation is $130.00. Up to a 25% discount* is
available for non-insured patients who join SimpleCare.
(Read more… www.simplecare.com)
. Please bring any copies of medical records relating
to your present condition, if available. Please
wear lose clothing. When indicated, complimentary
natural medicines and specific nutritional supplementation
will be prescribed to help support your LLLT
treatments.
Treatment times,
intervals, and course of therapy
After your initial evaluation, the doctor will discuss
your specific treatment recommendations. The actual
laser treatment takes between 8 and 15 minutes per
each site treated site. Depending on the specific
condition, a typical course of therapy is usually
3-4 treatments per week lasting up to 3-6 weeks.
Up to 3 treatment sites (e.g. wrist, shoulder, knee)
can be treated during a 45-minute visit. Fibromyalgia
patients with multiple tender points will have a
separate treatment schedule.
